The 2015 General Meeting will be a "Greener" Meeting
The 2015 IEEE PES General Meeting will be our "greenest" event ever! In order to support our goal of a more environmentally-friendly meeting, we will not distribute tote bags and will minimize the number of printed flyers. In lieu of providing flash drives, you will be invited to download all conference proceedings from the PES General Meeting website at the conclusion of this year's event.
Manufacturers and service providers may be interested in special opportunities that will raise the company's profile amongst current and potential future customers while supporting the largest gathering of professionals in the electrical power and energy industry in North America.
Full details of the available opportunities can be found here: Support Opportunities (PDF).
Over 200 volunteers are needed to perform a wide range of roles, including welcoming, directing people, assisting with sessions and coordinating. Volunteer shifts are in blocks with a minimum of 4 hours, and volunteers will earn an hour of meeting attendance, excluding paid events such as the tutorials, dinners or receptions, for every hour of volunteer time. Lunch or dinner will be provided for volunteers taking two shifts back to back. Learn more.
If you have any questions, or would like to be notified as soon as the Volunteer Schedule is posted, please contact the Volunteer Coordination Team.
